Meeting a Notchweiner

We think we’ve got a pretty good handle on who our readers are. You have access to the internet, you have the ability to read, you breathe—oxygen, we’d wager—and you think we’re hilarious/brilliant/wondrous/humble/concise. But we’ve come to realize that you don’t know much about us. A crime to say the least.

Well, we’ve decided to fix what we’re guessing is probably about a misdemeanor with a new feature on Notchweiner called “Meeting a Notchweiner.” Consider it a forum where, once a month, all the dreams we assume you have will come true and you’ll get to know each and every one of us a little bit better. So, lie to your wife about where you’re going, drive down to the bad part of town, roll down your window and prepare to have your mind blown.

Name: Judith Garson
Title: Senior Copywriter
Time at Marlin: Marlin has had the pleasure of Judith’s company for 12 years.

Omniscient Voice: Tell us every single thing you know about copywriting. Five words or fewer please.

Judith: Short is good.

Omniscient Voice: You work with words for a living. Have any favorites?

Judith: Omphaloskepsis.

Omniscient Voice: Any words you wish you could send to live with a nice family on a big farm where it had lots of room to run and play but that we couldn’t visit?

Judith: I don’t care for “at” at the end of a sentence, though I like all the other “at’s”. Dang.

Omniscient Voice: What’s the best thing about working at Marlin?

Judith: Why, the glamour, dahhling.

Omniscient Voice: What is one thing you’d like everyone to know about yourself?

Judith:  I once ate a fish eye. I have skydived. I own my own shoe skates. And yet, look how normal I am.

Well, we hope you’ve enjoyed this glimpse into our little family. And thanks Judith, for being such a good sport.
